I see lots of 66 gallon doses, but I only need enough for 6... Seems silly to spend $25-$30 on yeast for 6 gallons. Any advice for finding small amounts?

Thanks!

I'm using the wyeast MLB. Comes in 6 gallon doses. I bought mine from Midwest supplies. Wine is still going through mlf so can't speak if tastes good yet. I am heating my carboys via brew belt, temperature controller, and some moving blankets as insulation to keep the wine in the mid 70s. Lots of tiny bubbles so mlf is occurring, will be doing another chromosome test this weekend to check on progress (pitched mlb 4 weeks ago).

Check out www.morewine.com They sell Bacchus, which is our favorite MLB because it always finishes, in a 1 gram dose for $12.95.

Wi wine--A chromosome test might be interesting, but I think you meant chromatography testing.

Ha, yes it would! Stupid phone auto correct.

Did you ever notice how many words auto-correct doesn't seem to recognize? Always fodder for lots of hilarious outcomes!!

Buy with a friend and split the order.

It also keeps fairly well in the freezer.

I posted viability information in another thread.
