Late last week I received word from Vineco that the Heron Bay Ultra Premium wine kits will be discontinued in the coming months.

In case you are wondering, these are the 6-week, 16 liter format kits.

To help out during this transition, the manufacturer has committed to make enough of these kits to match sales projections for the coming 2 or 3 months. My advice is that if you have a liking for a particular HB 16L kit or two, you should contact your local homebrew store and grab them up before they are gone forever.

The reasons for discontinuation of the Ultra Premium line is twofold:
- declining sales
- duplication in other product lines made by Vineco

Suggested replacements come from their Legacy brand and their KenRidge Showcase Collection brands of wine kits, both of which are a 6-week, 16 liter format.

Having said all this, Vineco has assured us that they will CONTINUE to make the Heron Bay 4-week, 8 liter kits. These kits are wildly popular so the manufacturer will continue to make these.

Moreover, Vineco has a new 8L Heron Bay kit that will be coming out soon... so stand by for further developments.

We appreciate everyone's support during the kit transition. Thanks!
