Shaking up the wine

Hi all, I've been reading from the sidelines for a couple of months and jumped in with my first kit 30 days ago. I've already picked up so much information from this group and look forward to learning more. I'm in So Cal and had a couple of moderate "small" quakes in the last 18 hours. Hoping the 2 carboys are still setting on the table in the den when I get home. Lesson 1, put the containers on the floor from now on.

Looking forward to being part of the group in a rookie kind of way.
