Hi,

I made an Argentia Ridge - Merlot

Let's say I know what the kit's OG is supposed to be at 23L, but I accidentally added 2L more of water (25L total) and didn't take the reading....(I know)...

Is there a formula to calculate the ABV% knowing my final gravity and not the real OG/SG?

I was playing around with an alcohol calculator and a batch with a SG that gives you 12.8% at 23L will reduce the alcohol to 11.8% at 25 L. So a rough guess is that you lowered your potential alcohol by only 1%.

Thanks!! Thats what i calculated just using the percentage, but wasn't sure if this was correct or if there were more factors to consider. Cheers
