I want to do a Shiraz kit . I have done only R J Spag. kits . What I am wondering is , what is a good kit to get besides a RJS , any recommendation appreciated .

2PUPS, if you are not a "purist" I would recommend the Cellar Craft Showcase Collection Cabernet-Shiraz. It is a little pricey but it is a 16 liter kit with a 2 liter grape pack. Makes a really great wine.

Make sure you have a large enough primary.

2PUPS, that will be fine for the batch with a grape pack.

If you want to buy it locally have you checked out:
http://www.brew-wine.com/ - East Hartford CT - good selection but mostly WE kits. Rich is super knowledgeable
http://www.bwmwct.com/ - Hartford CT - good selection, not friendly staff
http://www.beer-wine.com/ - Woburn MA - Never been there.

If you want to order then of course - Fine Vine is the place to go.
