Wow Hippy sure looks tasty, I need a mini jet filter ,I am haveing trouble cleaning my Peach wine i started in 6/15/05.I tried the unflavored Gelatine and made it more cloudy,I am thinking about useing Bentinite, unless you have any other suggestions.Defalco's (wine and beer making supplier) rents filters for $6.00 a day but it stays rented pretty much all the time.

CW - I've noticed with both the scuppernongs you showed several weeks
ago and with these muscadines that the grapes appear to be whole rather
than crushed (could be my eyes.) Can you explain your procedure for
grape prep prior to pitching yeast? Also, do you have a local source for
the fruit? Thanks.

Harry, I would try the SuperKleer http://www.finevinewines.com/ProdDetA.asp?PartNumber=6383

Within 24 hours, it's clear.

Many people would tell you to wait it out as well. But I had good experience with the superKleer.

Just my 2 cents!

Harry, I agree the peach will outwait you. Stone fruit wines are notoriously stubborn. I had a peach wine that would not drop any more sediment at all, but was still cloudy and had bulk aged forever. The #1 Mini-Jet pads took out the haze. If you used plenty of pectic enzyme in the must, I would try sparkaloid or superkleer.

Waldo, I hope to bottle before the new year.

Bilbo, I crush them a handful at a time in a big ziplock baggy and put into a large fine-mesh straining bag.
