Just watched Bottle Shock from pay per view, a funny movie about the US vs French wines, it would be a good watch after you are stuffed with Christmas pudding:) Crackedcork

Loved the movie. Have you read "The Judgment of Paris" the book upon which the movie is based?

Actually we make mostly fruit wines, if they want to do a compare the euro elderberry wine to ours that would be worth another book! Crackedcork

After watching the movie I read the book. An excellent history of wine making not only in Europe but especially Napa Valley.

If your interested in Wine, it is a MUST read!

We watched this movie. Funny and interesting. The boxing ring was a nice touch.

For some reasonI was thinking "McClane" in that accent of his.

It was hard to believe that was Chris Pine with that (really bad) hair!

Sounds like the movie was only "loosely" based on the book. Loved some of the songs used in the soundtrack especially the opening scene of the vineyards with the Doobies "China Grove".

We also liked this movie and definitely recommend it. Agree with Mike on the China Grove opening. Huge Dobbie Bro. fan.

liked the story....it was worth a watch...but the acting....could it all have been any worse?

Bad script more than anything.

Thank goodness it had Alan Rickman. Love him in just about anything including this movie!
