I just started a brewers best beer kit. Didn't see the barley grain bag!
I backed the slow boil back down to 160 degrees to steep the barley grain. Will this be OK or have I ruined it? I already put the lme and dme in.Help!!!!!

You really should get t back to boiling again afterwards as grains are pretty nasty and contain lots of stuff that can cause an infection. If its too late to do that then we'll just have to wait and see if anything comes from it.

Wade,
Right after the 20 min steep at 160 degrees it was boiling for the 60 min total.
Do you think I should ditch it?

The boil should have killed all the nasties, brew away........

Should be fine and never ditch it. You know we'll never say to ditch it unless you have an obvious problem thats clear as day in front of you.

Thanks Wade. I have never done the boil process with a kit before. And the barley grain was overlooked. :O
I emailed Brian and he confirmed what you and Gaudet stated. whew!!

I have a kit of Holiday Ale that I will be making for Christmas gifts. Have you been good this year? haha

I have not! I think I need a spanking.
