This weekend was the Lion's Club Octoberfest in my town.

It is a VERY big deal. It looked like the whole town showed up to help support the local club.

I worked both Saturday and Sunday schlepping sour kraut, supplying the grillers with meat, and taking my turn manning the grill. I also helped out dispensing beer to the masses.

It was hot this weekend. Even more hot when manning the grill (or as one called it.. ninth level of Hell aerobics).

Here are some estimated stats..

41 kegs of beer (sold 12 ounces at a time),
1,800 bratwurst sold,
900 hot dogs,
over 200 gallons of sour kraut,
400 pounds of kielbasa,
and about 200 pounds of smoked pork chops.

The music was funny. I have to tell you that you have not lived until you hear "My Way" played in the original polka format.. lol..

Here are some photos.. Anybody else going to an Octoberfest?
