When do you first test mlf?

When do u guys first test mlf via chromatography? I started it maybe a week or two ago.

I always wait at least a month. And then after the test shows it all done, I wait another two weeks. The test can only read down to something like 50 ppm.

I do my mlf in barrels and it is easy to hear the rice Krispy popping sound when I put my ear over the open bung hole. I wait until that sound stops before I do any testing.

I usually wait also about a month. The warmer the area is the quicker the wine will go through MLF.
