I have a juicer, The recipe I read said to boil carrots for 10 min for juice. Can I just juice my raw carrots to get juice. Its 100 % juice that way and I can boil the raisins etc for flavor. Any comments are welcome since I've only have begun wine making. thanks a lot :d

Personally I would not make carrot wine.

I did this a couple of years ago and did not come out very good

I also have to agree with Tom's sentiment. I made carrot wine in 09 and it was not very good. Vegetabl-y wine just doesn't cut it.

However, to answer the question, I just juiced raw carrots and used the juice. If there's any pulp you can either put it in a fermenting bag and throw it in the must, or throw it away.

It's a good thing you're using raisins, it may help the taste and body. You might consider adding some white grape concentrate as well (like welches, etc).
