Ok so I have been doing homebrew for a long time (since before I could legally drink), but Meads Im just starting out in.
As the title says I was thinking about attempting an old Burnt Mead but for the liquid portion instead of plain water I was thinking about adding a Malted Oat wort.
My logic is the burnt honey gives a hearty caramel flavor while the oat wort should impart a oaty/nutty flavor.
What do you guys think and recipe ideas are very welcome
