Like anything today, and especially with the internet, there always seems to be so many opinions that it gets confusing. I'm new to this, and all I want to do is to ascertain what is the best, (also easiest, cheapest?) way to clean and sanitize!

According to this link from who appears to be a well-known resource Daniel Pambianchi, it seems that I should just use Natural 2X Concentrated Laundry Detergent by Seventh Generation to clean my equipment. It's the only one that doesn't get a "D" recommendation.

In addition, part of this seems to be because of the "soft" glass carboys that "we" use in home winemaking. How do I even know if I'm using a soft or hard glass carboy?

Some help please?!?:?

Weather it is the best to use I cannot comment. Like many say here ask 10 people get 12 responses.

But I can comment on that particular soap as it is the stuff I use. I really like it. Cheap and can be found at walmart very easily. Seems to work great. Make sure you get the non scented or colored or anything. Just the plain stuff. We have yet to have an issue with it.
