i have a gallon of peach wine also - been sitting for about 30
days. still needs to be fined and racked but I removed the
airlock and took a big sniff and wow - think it smells like dirty socks
or maybe something worse, roadkill comes to mind. what do I
do next - ready to dump !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a similar smell from a raspberry wine. The fine folks here gave me some tips. Do a search with the keyword "smell".

What I did was poured it into a bucket, attached the degasser (stir stick) to my power drill and beat the hell out of it. It seems to have worked.

There are lots of tests you can try/buy, but try beating the smell out of it first.
