Default Bag 'bottling"

I see that some mention that they have bottled in bags. Where are you getting the bags? I have a first batch that I would like to share more quickly and easily and it seems bags could work.

Some of the local wine and brew shops carry them. I bought mine in Omaha, but can't remember the name of the store. Check with our sponsers and you can probably order them from one of them. Just so you know they are really intended for short storage. I ususally put a gal. or so of Skeeter pee in mine when I ambottling and it usually doesn't last too long. Makes it convenient to get a glass when you want it tho. Take care and good luck, Arne.

Yes, George at The Winemaker's Toy Store (finevinewines.com) sells "Wine-On-Tap". They work great for quick consumption wine. Just don't plan on leaving even a summer wine in them for much more than 6 months.

Default Wine in a box.

This side of the pond, they sell wines in a box (not the television set this time), it has a silver plastic bag inner with a tap. I've got a batch of sloe maturing in one of these as an experiment. Cheers, Tony.

Are the plastic bags re-usable? Can you clean\sterilze and re-fill?

If you are referring to the plastic bags from kit wines - yes they are reusable. My local wine supply store sells caps for these bags for this very purpose.

Default The experiment.

As Robie said, the bags are 'throw away' but I thought I'de give it a try. I have cut them up and wrapped them round my feet to try and keep my feet warm on long sea fishing trips! Cheers, Tony.
