Not all the time though and thats whats confusing. If you go under New Posts or todays posts its not there, its only when you go into Forums is it there.

I don't have any issue. Right next to the word Search is a "down arrow". Click on that and you get a drop down box where you can select "mark forums read". Unless if I am missing something else you are saying.
