Not sure whats its called
Wade, I was just wondering. You know where on your computer where you keep all your favorites, like this forum, ebay, paypal, whatever websites that you goto alot. Some of them have a little picture next to them. Paypal has a big P, eby has a small ebay. Your site could have a small wine bottle. I think that would be pretty cool looking. Just thought I would bring it up. John

Thats called a "favicon" short for favorites icon.
They are easy to make and there are free sites that will generate one for you in seconds. You then upload to your site, add some code and done.. Its all pretty easy. I made one for my site in a few minutes.
You could use the wine glass in the logo!

The only problem is I dont have access to the server. TXBrew owns this site, I just manage it for him. The server is located in Texas while Im over here in Ct. Id love to have this though but hes a very busy man as he runs Homebrewtalk.com and many others also.

So you don't have access to upload images to the app servers? I think that the favicon just gets loaded to the root directory and it renders in any browser capable of handling favicons.

This is my suggestion. I use Tapatalk other forums from my Droid and it's really easy. To download it to your forum there is no cost. Now that i've been using it awhile I love it.
I know some people use smartphones quite a bit when not near a computer to view the forums. There is an app called tapatalk ($2.99 for android OS) that is pretty neat. All the owner of the forum has to do is activate it with them. I think it would be nice if you registered with them so that if people wanted to use tapatalk, they could.

On my Iphone I just go to Safari & search for Wimemakingtalk.com, log in & save it. Any time I eant to look at any forums or messages when I out, I just click on it & it brings it up just like on the computer, just a bit smaller screen......

Create a small square image (ex. 16x16) and name it favicon.ico and upload it to your web root directory.
Or make one here:
