Totally messed up - can I recover?

Ha-Ha! Stop making me laugh. Age is how you feel, not a number. My Son in law is a 72-year-old American. He recently went back to Upper Heyford, where he was stationed until 1992. The joy on his face as he saw the place he served and the memories they brought back was a wonderful thing to see...

    Hello from Germany

Hi, and welcome back. Contact Luc Volders on [email protected]. Luc lives in the Netherlands, which is reasonably close to you. He is very well-informed and all his pages on his website are in Dutch and English. I'm sure he can come up with a supplier closer to you than the UK. Anyway, a...

Myviny.com? Make your own wine remotely.

Our winemaking club shut down several years back. By coincidence, I met the same couple in the supermarket a few weeks ago. 'Are you still making wine?' I asked them. 'Why bother, it's easier to pop a couple of bottles in the trolley' they replied. Ah well, it takes all sorts. As they say where...

Myviny.com? Make your own wine remotely.

It's not a scam? It's not even something new. A couple in our old wine club joined a similar scheme years ago, they even went and picked their own grapes, but as Mainshipfred said it was very expensive just to get their name on not very special wine. After they received their first wine, they...

    Acidic

81 is right! If you like drier styles of wine, add your sugar in small amounts. Often if you catch it at that magic moment when the flavour, and acid suit your taste, you might not even notice the added sugar.

That's what English people do when someone in a foreign country doesn't understand. They're too embarrassed to do an impression of a chicken laying an egg, or something similar! :D

    Musings from an old codger...

It's the same all over the World, I'm afraid. Mine is bigger than yours, so it must be better. I used to work with a chap to bragged that he had a better home than me. What a load of old bollocks. He used to work all the overtime hours he could get. I said to him, 'When I leave work, I go home...

I'm Back ... To Say Goodbye

I've been making country/fruit wines for Sixty-five years. These days, I just make enough so that we can have a glass with our evening meal. I just can't stop, it must be in my blood, literally, probably. I can't imagine having a meal without a glass, the food just wouldn't taste the same. I...

In the blink of an eye another day is gone, In the blink of an eye another week is gone. In the blink of an eye another month is gone, In the blink of an eye another year is gone. And in the blink of an eye I'll be gone too, And not just me but also you. So maybe we should be wishin' and hopin'...
